River Levern : ウィキペディア英語版
Levern Water
The Levern Water, ((スコットランド・ゲール語:Labharan / Uisge Labharain)) is a small river in East Renfrewshire and Glasgow, Scotland.
The Levern has its source in Long Loch, and for a few miles divides parts East Renfrewshire, passing the village of Neilston and town of Barrhead.
The Levern Valley anciently formed part of the Kingdom of Strathclyde, whilst during the Industrial Revolution, the Levern Water facilitated the socioeconomic growth of parts from East Renfrewshire by providing water power for cotton mills as well as homes.
Within the city of Glasgow, the Levern Water runs parallel with Barrhead Road to Pollok where it is joined by the Brock Burn close to Silverburn Shopping Centre. The river then flows past Crookston Castle towards its termination at the confluence with White Cart Water in Rosshall Park.
